GM-Parts Wins At Talladega!

Race Recap

Monday Oct 7th

GM-Parts wins at Dega! Sounded like alot of engines were giving up at Dega maybe they were furnished by Hendricks. We had an excellent race at Dega the only cautions were for blown engines. Good job by all at Dega guys this can be a fun track and it can be a wreck fest, good job!

Driver Of The Week

   Wed Oct 2nd

Hi LCM

How did it feel to win Kansas?
It felt great to get the Diet Dew Chevy back in winners circle.

Its been awhile since you had a good run what do you think the reason is for that?
**I'm thinking it was a combination of reasons. Random breakdowns, being in the wrong place at the wrong time, going left when I should have gone right, a bonehead move every now and then, and the absence of LADY LUCK!!  I think that covers most of them.

There seems to be a lot of cars every week that could win,are you pleased with the direction the league is going?
**Funny you should ask this question JR. A few of us were in pal talk last night chatting about how competitive the league has gotten. Personally, I think it makes the league stronger and more enjoyable.

Without giving away any secrets did TFR racing make any major changes to get you this win?
**Na, I just told the crew chief we had to tighten the car up enough for me to get in the corner without spinning first, then we would work on long runs. After four days of practice he finally decided to listen.

Do you think we will switch to n2003 when it comes out?
** I feel sure we all will purchase N2003. Will we switch over?? Probably so, but that depends on a  list of variables we won't have the answers to until the sim is released.

Just give me a paragraph or 2 on how your race went ?
** I climb in my car every Sunday night knowing that MOST RACES I need at least 3 things to go my way to get a good finish. The FIRST of which is "THE CAR". The car needs to handle good,  needs to be resonably fast, and needs to make its tires last longer than my competitors. So Sunday night when its time to climb in I have a good idea of how "THE CAR"  is going to treat me.
**The SECOND and sometimes most desireable is PATIENCE. This makes racing more enjoyable for everyone, and will get you a better finish. I can hear my crew chief now, "Its a long race knucklehead be patient!!" I hear this at least ten times during a race. What a prick, nag, nag, nag, lol.
** The THIRD is the apperance or absense of LADY LUCK, CATCHING A BREAK, IF.......etc. This seems to play a huge part in where I finish each week. And guess what?? All three finally came together for me again Sunday Night.
***I'm thrilled with the direction SBL is going. We are growing with a more competitive group of drivers, that are friends on and off the track. Let's keep up the good work guys, and most of all have FUN. Oh almost forgot, lets shoot for 20 clean racing members by next season!!! Thanks.
